THE HORSES RIDE TO FREEDOM

What we have done oh glorious day!

We saved them all forever now,

Our American horses all safe at last,

No more to slaughter do they go.

The horses from across this land,

Are loved and honored rightly so,

For they are treasured in our hearts,

No more to slaughter do they go.

It took so long and made us weep,

We did not stop because of love,

And God was there with every horse,

No more to slaughter do they go.

And now we see all horses here,

We showed the world what true love is,

And by our love did set them free,

We tamed this land and worked for you,

NO DAY OFF Mountaineer Race Track to Slaughter

NO DAY OFF

For all our lives we raced for you,
We did our best so full of life,
We so loved you but none for us,
Just off the track we've run our last.

All healthy horses here we are,
So soon to die we ask you why?
Instead of life we face our death,
We do deserve a long loved life.

Too late for us we've raced our last,
Please help the others soon to die,
For all the horses racing now,
No slaughterhouse should end their lives.

All were racehorses killed in slaughterhouses in April of 2008.
